CFS Club Unite
It is a wonderful day, fellow CFS Clubbers - we now have a blog and therefore, we are significant. I can't express my gratitude to all of you who have made this momentous day possible. It is because of you - your blood, sweat and tears - that this day has finally come. There are too many of you to thank... Well, I guess there aren't that many... So...
Thanks Kayte, Seth, Stacey, Bailey, Lisa, Nicole, Jeff, Ryan C., Jesse and Cassie for all you've done. It's been your support - both financially and emotionally - that has made the CFS Club what it is today. We are all bond together by our devotion to a simple, fattening delicacy we call chicken fried steak. It's the grease, gravy, grissle (is that how you spell it?) and gossip that brings us all together.
And to you Billy, Mike, Orlando, Heather, Josh, Matt, Kristin, Aja, Corey, Robin, Ryan R., Jason and the other 100 people I've invited to the Club - we want you to know that we love you and want you to become a part of our spectacular, yet slightly odd, family. We need you. CFS needs you. And, that is some powerful stuff right there. I get a little teary-eyed just thinking about how beautiful it is.
Our next super important CFS Club meeting will be noonish on May 18 at Tsunami Sushi downtown. Be there or be square. (Okay, I don't know why, but I feel compelled to make that saying cool again...) Let me know a day in advance if you're attending so I can warn the Tsunami staff. Email me at andrea@rexpr.com.
In my next post, I hope to dispell some of the myths and urban legends surrounding the CFS Club. Like, you have to eat chicken fried steak at every CFS club meeting. Should be enlightening and entertaining. :)
Thoughts? Post your comments!
Until next time, my dear greasy friends...
All the best fried meat to you all,
Andrea

Oh, Andrea! Thank you for organizing this forum so that we finally could have inspirational, intelligent and insightful comments about the all-important chicken fried steak. Together, and only together, we will dispell the rumors surrounding the misunderstood meat and bring enlightment to the entire red-meat industry. Live on CFS!

Andrea--I think you have too much time on your hands...ha, ha.
I would say for those die hard CFS fans check out KFC on Monday nights. They have a new deal that will satisfy your fix for only a red cent less than two bucks. It isn't CFS HOF, but it is cheap.
Does Tsunami have Sushi Fried Steak or just the taco salad?

Great work doing the CFS club justice with this blog! I have never seen, or been on a blog. I am still not sure what it really is.
Anyway, does Tsunami have Chicken Fried Steak? Its a big factor in my attendance. I have a great CFS at Brothers Houligan the other day and made a mental note to mention it,,, or blog it.
Over and out.

I think the Chicken Fried Steak at Tsunami is served raw. I'm not sure how the get the breading to stick, but it should be interesting. Has anyone tried Ollie's Station? They also give good CFS.

No, Tsunami doesn't have CFS. It's just an old wise (or is it wives? :) ) tale that we have to have CFS at the CFS club. I don't know where the myth started. Weird. While Tsunami does not have CFS, they do have a quite varied menu, including a kick ass taco salad. Who knew?
So, Kristin and anyone else scared of any food that contains ingredients other than cheese, ranch dressing and ham, don't be frightened. Tsunami will have something for you. And, if you not, you can just bring a sandwich from home or something. :)

Great call on Bros' Houligan! ! ! You really do listen to the comments! I am so excited that you are going to a place I mentioned. Fellow CFS'ers, I will not let you down!
We do need to talk about a how we will get a large enough table... the place is packed as 'all get out' for lunch... maybe we do this one at 11:15am'ish?
