Mayfest time!

It's that time again... Time to sign up to work the Mayfest beer booth. Here are the details...

Mayfest 2006 presented by MidFirst (they deserve a plug for helping to keep this great event going)
May 18 - 21
Beer booth - must be 21
Shift - we'll do an after work time, like 5 - 9:30p or something. I'll keep you posted.
Date - Thursday May 18

Send a comment if you'd like to participate in volunteering. There are, of course, other options for the date but I think that Thursday night would be ideal so we don't cut into our weekends. Feel free to disagree and offer other dates.

Hope to see you there. Volunteering at Mayfest is a ton of fun. See you then!

And they say CFS is bad for you...

That's nothing compared to the cheese dripping off my loaded cheese fries from The Brook...

That was the home of CFS Club for March. It was fun... The 9 of us sat in the chilly enclosed patio, drank iced tea and talked about severed feet in Norman. (thanks Josh)

No happy plates this month... I can't imagine there ever being a happy plate at the Brook. Okay, I can imagine but its not pretty.

We had some newbies at the meeting, which was fabulous as always. Justin, Jeff and Kristen - thanks for joining us. Welcome to the circle of trust. You're stuck in it now. I hope you had fun. I trust you'll all come with better announcements next time - except Jeff who, as Cassie said, probably gave the best announcement we've ever had. Momentum! Ask Jeff about it.

We're gearing up to volunteer at Mayfest again this year. Last year was too much fun. I can't mention the great idea we discussed on the public blog because I don't want someone to steal it - cause you know this blog is getting read by people all over the city and the world... and they are the kind of people who like to steal good ideas from CFS-lovin' folks... did I just say 'folks'? Anyway, if anyone is up for Mayfest this year, let me know. I'll publish a post with all the details so you can comment if you'd like to join us.

After much debate, we have a great location for April's CFS Club. It will be held at the infamous Celebrity Club - and NO IT'S NOT A STRIP CLUB! You know the one... its got a neon sign out front, its all black and has no windows... promise its not a strip club. Should be a groovy... er... swanky... er... a random kind of a lunch meeting. Look forward to seeing you all there. We're set for April 27 at 11:30a. I don't know the address but am pretty sure its across the street from Cloud Nine - not the production company, the strip club...

Oh, I almost forgot to comment on The Brook's CFS, that would have been weird of me - bottom line - didn't like it. It was really thick and frankly, seemed a bit manufactured or something. Am I think the only one who thought that? Or maybe I just didn't like the gravy. Comment please because I'd hate to give the Brook a bad name for their CFS if it just turns out that I'm ridiculously picky (which I am).

For those of you who couldn't make it, we missed you! However, we did enjoy catching up on all our gossip about you so that worked out great.

Peace, Love, CFS

HAPPY PLATE

Josh really enjoyed February's CFS Club meeting at Charlestons. Not only did he eat every bit of his gigantic CFS meal but he also ate the rest of Jesse and Cassie's dessert. The above photos show him pondering whether or not he should continue and the other is him proudly smiling and displaying his happy plate. Josh Roby - you are the winner of the February CFS Club Happy Plate award. Congrats.

So anyway, February was fun. The CFS was not that great - in my opinion. A little peppery... and just not very tasty. I do enjoy Charlestons, but I won't order the CFS again.

We had a fabulous turnout though... There were some newbies and some familiar faces. If you didn't make it, you really missed out. The Charlestons staff really enjoyed all ten of us wanting a table together without a reservation and then separate tickets. I hope everyone tipped the waiter well...

So March we're going to the Brook. Frankly, while I haven't had their CFS (actually I'm just assuming they have it...) and should try it, I just can't go to the Brook without having cheese fries with bacon. Oh well. I had CFS today at the Press Club (where it is STILL the best in my opinion) so that should hold me over for the month of March. So, I'll see you...

Thursday, March 23
11:30a
The Brook

Don't forget to tell me that Wednesday if you're coming. If we have ten or more again, I probably should make reservations... otherwise we're all risking getting a little spit in our CFS.

Peace, Love, CFS
Andrea
